Mulvey in Chester 1841 and 1851

In 1841, there were three Mulvey families in Chester:
1, William Mulvey aged 26 shipbuilder born Cheshire, Elizabeth aged 27 born Cheshire, Margaret aged 9 months born Cheshire.
2. John Mulvey aged 40, occupation unclear, not born Cheshire; Ann aged 28 not born Cheshire; William aged 5 born Cheshire, Catherine Margaret aged 5 weeks born Cheshire
 3. Margaret Mulvey aged 65 Independent not born Cheshire, David D Mulvey aged 15 not born Cheshire
In 1851 , there were two families; there was no sign of John's family there or anywhere else
William Wilkinson Mulvey aged 36 shipbuilder born Chester City, Elizabeth 37 born Chester City, Margaret aged 10, Sarah Jane aged 9, William aged 7, Agnes aged 3, Edward Moss aged 1 all born Chester City
Peggy Mulvey aged 76 almswoman born Satterthwaite Lancs

Mulvey family from the IGI

Working from the IGI, we have established this scenario:
November 7, 1795 - Marriage of William Mulvey and Peggy Smith in Lancaster
Children: 1797 John, Lancaster; 1799 Thomas, Lancaster; 1801 Jane, Lancaster; 1804 Margaret, Chester; 1806 William, Chester; 1809 Thomas Smith, Frodsham; 1812 Elizabeth, Frodsham; 1814 William Wilkinson, Chester, 1817 Henry, Chester.
If this is the right family they moved down from Lancaster between 1801 - 1804.
The confusion over which William is ours (William son of John, b Lancaster 1803, or William son of William, b Chester 1806) is increased because William and Peggy name a second son William.
From the above, we can work out that the family stayed in Chester from 1804 - 1806, then moved to Frodsham till 1812 then back to Chester.

Mulvey in Liverpool

Jane Mulvey, daughter of William and Peggy, married John Dawson and they had five or six children baptised at St James Church, Liverpool.  A couple of them have Mulvey as a second name.
