The Cheetham Family

Jack and Alexander are descended from the Cheetham family via their 3x gt grandmother Elizabeth - Betty - Cheetham, wife of John Bramill the Carter.
Elizabeth's father William CHEETHAM was a flat man, and the family lived in Bond Street, Liverpool. It is likely that William worked on the Liverpool-Leeds Canal, which was close to their home, as canal barges were also called flats. Certainly, CHEETHAM is a family name among canal workers, with strong representation in the Withington area of Manchester. Cheethams are also evident in Ormskirk and Lydiate, within 15 miles of Liverpool.
Betty was born between 1815 and 1828 (the censuses would make her birthdate 1818; the latter year is only on the 1861 census, though she is consistently a year older than John).
There is only one likely entry for her birth in the IGI, however, and this would put her birthdate at 1815.
Elizabeth CHEETHAM bapt Dec 3, 1815, St Peter's Church, parents William Cheetham and Mary.
While her father's canals job could make other IGI entries possible, searches for "Elizabeth Cheetham, daughter of William" only turn up others that are well outside Liverpool and too far from the canal to be likely. In addition, all censuses show Elizabeth as having been born in Liverpool.
A search for William and Mary's marriage turns up an entry on Jan 16, 1815, again at St Peter's Church. This shows that Mary's maiden name was Weaver. Of the 140 Mary Weavers born five years either side of 1795, none comes from Liverpool, though there are various possibles from Manchester or Cheshire.
I am aware of various other researchers looking at the Liverpool Cheethams. Any help would be appreciated.
