Eight Bramhills are listed in the Liverpool phone book. They are highlighted in red. There is also one Bramill family with links to Bramills in Southport, Lancs
William Bramhill of Wheatear Close is the son of James Bramhill, brother of Patrick Bramhill, a Bluecoats schoolboy who went to Canada and who is the father of the Blaney Bramhills. Patrick and James also had a sister, Mary, and the three are believed to be the children of a Samuel Bramhill. The three children are thought to have lived in a Liverpool orphanage for a time. Unfortunately, the orphanage's records were destroyed in the Second World War. S.J. Bramhill is James's grandson; the family are also relatives of Brenda Bramhill.
Frank Bramhill and Joseph Bramhill (ex directory) are the sons of the late Joseph Bramhill, of Berrington Street, Liverpool, who was born in 1910. Frank and Joseph Jnr's siblings are Kenny, John (formerly restaurant manager aboard Empress of Canada and now living in Pennsylvania, USA), Joyce, and Pat. Another brother, Brian, a marine chief engineer, died in 1999. It is known that Joseph Bramhill senior had a brother Danny, whose family lived in the Netherfield Road area, and a sister Betty. It is possible that the father of Joseph Snr was a fruit seller.
Frank W.Bramhill is the father of David Bramhill of New York. He was born in Yorkshire and also has links with the Midlands. No Liverpool relatives.
William Bramhill of Maghull, is the son of the late William Joseph Bramhill of Latimer Street. WJB's father was also William and may have been involved in a coal business.
