Charles was married to Elizabeth Jane Harriet Howe, in 1907 in Sevenoaks, Kent. It was her second marriage; her maiden name was Beer.
Elizabeth died in Dover on April 13, 1946. - and it is possible that her name was spelled "Elbow" on her death certificate.
